Appointed to originally prepare proposals for a possible replacement for the existing centre, we assisted our client prepare a brief. We then secured planning approval through careful discussion and negotiation with the local authority, for the replacement which they consider to be a significant building on a prominent site.
Having established the clients preferred procurement route, we’ve prepared the employer’s requirements and invited tenders for a design & build contract arrangement. The building will provide several counselling rooms, administration areas, an open plan area for multiple use, kitchen for providing meals for the homeless and washroom facilities. Works are expected to commence in late 2018.
